Why This Matters
The August 2020 Lightning Complex wildfires wreaked havoc across the Santa Cruz Mountains, destroying more than 1,000 homes and upending life in the San Lorenzo Valley. When a disaster strikes, the majority of funds raised go to immediate relief, while the recovery and rebuilding process take many years.
About the Fund
The Fire Recovery Fund was created to address the immediate and long-term needs of those affected. The fund addresses the most critical needs of survivors. Grants support disaster case management, temporary shelter, economic recovery work and other areas of unmet need. Learn more at cfscc.org/firegrants.
